We had to tinker with some avoidable measures in order to ensure that governance is not stagnated. To that extent, we allowed some projects to continue, the critical infrastructures, especially.
We had urgent issues to handle - the flooding issue in Owerri has been a source of concern.
We went round, saw the quality of the work ongoing. I can assure that the contractors have lived upto expectations in accordance with the bid proposals and designs.
We will continue to encourage them so that gradually, as the measures are eased off, we will encourage them to continue to do more work."
