As parties roll out guidelines for the conduct of the primaries ahead the 2019 elections, Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha will witness mass resignation from his cabinet, our sources revealed.

Party guidelines of APC and that of INEC at the disposal of this Ifeanyicy.com have it that a person holding appointive position would be expected to resign to run for fresh position.

Those likely to be affected are the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Uche Nwosu, who has intention to run for Governor of Imo State under the All Progressive Congress, APC.

Others are Hon Kingsley Chima Uju (Deputy Chief of Staff), Hon Obinna Mbata Commissioner of Finance, Prof Nnamdi Obiaraeri Commissioner for Information and others .
While Uju is angling to be in the Federal House for Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta, Oru West Federal Constituency, Mbata seeks to represent Owerri Municipal at the Imo State House and Obiareri wants to represent Okigwe Zone in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Eche, the Secretary to Imo State Government is also contesting for the Ngor Okpala/Aboh Mbaise Federal Constituency, same for Paschal Obi, the Principal Secretary to Imo State Governor who is asking for the Ideato Federal Constituency position, while Mrs Angela Uwakwem Commissioner and Tony Umezuruike Commissioner are vying for Okigwe North and Owerri federal Constituency seats.

In 2014 ahead 2015 election, Okorocha asked those seeking elective positions to step aside from his cabinet in keeping to the constitutional provisions.
