Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, Wednesday said he was prepared to lead political battle for Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to win in Imo state and Nigeria.

Atiku made this statement in Owerri, at the Imo state PDP, secretariat.
Atiku’s move came days after Senator Ahmed Markarfi, visited Owerri, and expressed worry over the state of roads in the southeast zone, adding that he had a terrible experience travelling by road in the region.

Atiku who is one of the top Presidential aspirants under the PDP, said that his party believed in total restructuring of the country.

According to him, “I am overwhelmed with your support. Since 1988, Imo has been a PDP, state I want Imo state to be returned to PDP.

“APC, has failed. We have over 12 million unemployed Nigeria youths. That is the statistics given to us by APC, it is not my own statistics.

“When APC, took over power they promised alot but today we are seeing nothing. We are witnessing bad governance in Imo state and Nigeria.

“In the North, our brother and sisters can’t go to the markets because they will kill them. Let me tell you, I am ready to lead the struggle to change the unfortunate situation in this country. PDP will take over Imo state and Nigeria in 2019.

“PDP, will restructure this country and give you back power. What is all these nonsense. We must take back our state and Nigeria. Imo is still PDP state.”
