Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha has completely tored apart his pro-rescue mission government loyalists and members of the All Progressive Congress party apart through his selective endorsement of some aspirants jostling for various elective positions through what he referred to as mock primaries as against constitutional provided party primaries resulting from congress for the election of party candidates.
Governor Okorocha had on Monday April 30th, 2018, at Imo International Conference Centre organized a mock primary for members of his Rescue Mission government chriestained "NDI AGBURU ANYI "
Those who received Governor Okorocha’s endorsement are as follows:
1.Governor Okorocha- for Orlu Senate zone seat
2.Prof.Obiaraeri Nnamdi Obiaraeri -for Okigwe Zone Senate seat
3.Engr Emma Ojinere - For Owerri zone Senate seat
4.Ugwumba Uche Nwosu- for Imo House Governor
5.Hon Chike Okafor - for Okigwe South House of Reps Seat
6.Rt.Hon Ozurigbo Ugonna - For Nwangele/Isu/Njaba/Nkwerre House of Reps Seat
7.Hon Uju Kingsley Chima - for Ohaji Egbema/Oguta /Oru West House of Reps Seat
8.Hon Raphael Nnanna Igbokwe - for Ezinihitte Mbaise/Ahiazu Mbaise House of Reps Seat
9.Dr Paschal Obi - for Ideato North /Ideato South House of Reps Seat
Other big names in the Rescue Mission government and members of "AGBURU Rochas" who couldn't secure Governor Okorocha’s support and endorsement irrespective of their loyalty and support to the governor and rescue mission government for the past seven years of dedicated service has threatened to fight back and ignore Okorocha’s endorsement.
Two commissioners and three Special Advisers when contacted informed Ifeanyicy.com, that "Governor Okorocha can’t decide for our individual aspirations and political ambition, what he should do is to organise a free and fair primaries for all his followers using the instrument of the party, APC as provided by the constitution. We love him, has always followed and obeyed him, but in these we say no to it."
Asked if they will join opposition against the government and governor within the APC family, a diplomatic commissioner said, "when we get to the bridge, we cross it, for now, we give the Governor time to reflect and do the right thing by giving everyone equal opportunity"
