OKOROCHA SYMPATHISES WITH GOVERNORS AJIMOBI AND TAMBUWAL OVER THE DEATHS OF THEIR SPEAKER & SPOKESMAN RESPECTIVELY
Imo State Governor and Chairman of Progressive Governors’ Forum, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has extended his heartfelt Condolences to the governors of Oyo and Sokoto states Chief Abiola Ajimobi and Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal over the painful demise of the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Mr. Michael Adeyemo and the Special Adviser on media, to Governor Tambuwal, Mallam Imam Imam describing the two deaths, as shocking.
The governor said the late Speaker, Mr. Adeyemo had played an outstanding role in the political stability of Oyo State and in the achievements of Governor Ajimobi’s administration and noted that his death came at a very critical moment in the politics of the nation and Oyo State in particular when his brilliant ideas and contributions would have been mostly needed.
On the death of Imam Imam, the governor said he was in-charge of an important organ of the administration of Governor Tambuwal and regretted that the vital role he was playing in the administration would now be missing as a result of his sudden death.
The governor, on behalf of the family, government and people of the state sympathises with the governors, governments and people of Oyo and Sokoto States respectively and asked God to grant them all they need to overcome the pains of the deaths.
He also prayed that God should give the families of the departed the companion they require to bear with the ugly incidents, while the souls of the dead should be granted eternal rest.
