HEARTLAND FC STRANDED,MAY MISS LAGOS TRIP
Heartland football Club of Owerri are stocked in a drama of uncertainty as the league season reaches its dead.
Information has it that the Naze millionaires who are battling seriously to return to the elite league after one season of playing tackles in lower cadre of the league are embroiled in financial trouble.
An impeccable source told Okeomanews that unless there is a last minute intervention by the state government or other stakeholders, the club may be walked over on Wednesday by First bank football Club of Lagos.
"As I speak to you, the traveling bus of the club is down and currently packed at the mechanic village in Owerri without any fund to put it in other.
The boys are supposed to play first Bank of Lagos on Wednesday. They are supposed to leave Owerri for Lagos on Monday, rest on Tuesday and get ready for the crucial battle on Wednesday.
As of now ,no hope that the boys will be making the trip.no traveling logistics have been provided.no hotel accommodation.Even the traveling bus is down and is packed in the mechanic village" the source lamented.
According to the source ,should the Naze millionaires miss the encounter or draw the match, it will give the GO ROUND FC BOYS who are trailing them behind a huge advantage going into the final day of the league season on Saturday.
"This was exactly what happened that caused our relegation".
The source said that the management of the led by Bash Etuemena and few stateholders have tried tremendously in leading the NNL LEAGUE in the first and second stanzas.
He therefore called on all honourable politicians and stakeholders in the state to redeem their pledges so that the club would avert the looming embarrassment.
