Imo state police command today Monday September 11, 2017 paraded four suspected armed robbery and kidnap gangs who has been terrorizing the state.
The criminals were paraded alongside their assorted caliber of ammunition weapons, including 400 rounds of chained general purpose machine gun, 016 rounds of AK 47 live ammunition, one AK 47 empty magazine, one army camouflage bullet proof vest, one blue police raincoat, one green barret cap, etc in a ceremony led by commissioner of police, CP Chris Okey Ezike.

Imo State Police Command says in line with resolve to fight crime with renewed vigour, has recorded modest achievements; 4 days after the arrested and Parade of armed robbery and murder suspects, for unlawful possession of firearms, kidnap and murder of Catholic Priest, Ace gospel singer, and businessmen, CP- Chris Ezike addressing journalists, today Monday September 11, 2017 , at the State Police Headquarters, Owerri, the Commissioner of Police, giving details of the arrests, the CP said that the police had broken the jinx in the chains of criminal operations in the state through the help Imolites who seek genuine, strategic and mutual beneficial partnership to make Imo State safer and better.
He said that the Command arrested one Onyedikachi Enyiaka from Umuokpara Ibeafo Umunumo in Ehime Mbano local government Area , male said to be 16 years of age, he was said to be arrested by the operatives of the command Anti Robbery Squad at Egbelu Amaka in Owerri North LGA following a tip-off.
Also arrested and paraded are Kingsley Alaukwu , male 25 years of Umuoso Mgbushi in Ohaji Egbema LGA, reported to have kidnapped Mr Gabriel Alaukwu, male 67 years and Iniobong Sunday, male 38 years at Nkaraha in Ohaji Egbema LGA, later murdered and buried in a shallow grave after collecting N100,000 ransom.
According to police, "the suspect confessed to the crime and has mentioned his cohorts as Ugochukwu Ekezie and Emeka Onuegbu now at large. The are gang members of one Uju Promise Ekene earlier declared wanted by the Police, all of whom are from Mgbishi in Ohaji Egbema LGA of Imo State. The decomposed corpses of the victims have been exhumed and appropriately relocated." The commissioner of police thereafter declares Ugochukwu Ekezie and Emeka Onuegbu wanted.
