According to a statement credited to Imo State Governor's confidant and Deputy Chief of Staff, Hon Kingsley Chima Uju, at the just concluded Orlu Political Summit held at Nkwerre Country Club, Nkwerre local government Area of Imo State, under the theme "ORLU FIRST", Okorocha’s Deputy Chief of Staff Operations shocked members of the audience present when he boasted that Governor Okorocha does not need other zones to produce the next Imo Governor, implying that Owerri and Okigwe zones can go to hell.
He further revealed to the audience how Governor Okorocha had concluded plans to use the twelve (12) Orlu LGA’s to produce his Son-in-law, Mr Uche Nwosu as the next Governor of Imo State . He gave instance of how PDP almost won Imo governorship in 2015 with three Mbaise local governments. He assured all of members of APC and Orlu Political leaders present at the Orlu Political Summit organized by a group led by Nze Elvis Agukwe including the non APC members that it is 'doable' if Orlu Zone will unify. Hon Kingsley Uju did not consider if some members or audience at the summit were pro-Okorocha, APC or from other political parties with varied political interest.
The Chairman of Imo Lands who hails from Ohaji Egbema and aclose confidant of Governor Rochas Okorocha further stated that "for instance, that if we write 30,000 thirty thousand votes from all the Local governments in Orlu Zone, we will deliver Governor Uche Nwosu in 2019. That Imo Governorship have never been decided beyond 400,000 votes".
His statement is that “we will write”, what was he thinking, Mr. Elvis Ndukwe queried after listening to that speech ."Maybe he thought he was in an APC caucus meeting without knowing that he was addressing a mixed audience though from Orlu zone but across party lines"
According to Elvis Ndukwe from Ihioma in Orlu Local Government Area, for Hon Kingsley Chima Uju who is a known political soulmate and field Marshall of Okorocha’s political army, especially the militants from the Oil Producing Communities of Imo State to have said what he said in the public and before the Governor's Son-in-law, and Chief of Staff, Hon Uche Nwosu, it means, they have concluded on it in house before now.
