ELFREEDA Foundation is a non- profit organisation aimed at providing a stabilising base for homeless women and children to rebuild their lives as they transit back to the society. The non-governmental organisation aims to provide the basic needs for desperate and vulnerable homeless women and children, helping them build more stable and productive lives, while addressing the causes and consequences of homelessness in Nigeria.

According to the founder of Elfreeda Foundation and CEO House of Freeda, Mrs Uloma Rochas Nwosu, “providing the basic necessities of life is the best thing any organisation or individual can do to the underprivileged in our society.  Considering the present economic situation in the country, we believe supporting a foundation like this will not only lessen the burden on our already overburdened government, but will take away the ‘destitute’ from the streets, rehabilitate them and give them a reason to smile again.”

Geared towards humanitarian effort, Mrs Uloma believes ‘volunteers don’t necessarily have the time; but obviously they have the heart.’’ It's the duty of Elfreeda Foundation as a responsible corporate organization committed to giving back to the society, by catering for the homeless women and children in our society and thereby giving their life a meaning.

The opening ceremony comes up tomorrow, Friday August 11, 2017 at the Imo Trade and Investment Centre, Owerri and will be graced the wife of Nigeria Acting President, Mrs Osinbajo, the Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha and wife Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha, Chief Executives of Dana Air, Aero Airline, Arik Airline, MD Ndomie Plc, Publisher Genevieve Magazine (Betty irabor), Alex Ekubo, Liz Benson,
