Popular Imo blogger, youth leader and social commentator, Ifeanyicy Njoku celebrated his birthday in style in the darling city of Owerri, on Tuesday, 8th August, 2017.

The activist who is well known for his ability of controlling the media had his friends celebrating him all through Facebook, twitter and Instagram, with thousands of goodwill messages, wishes and outpour of love for his service to humanity.

As usual, he dimmed it fit to celebrate with orphans. Having visited most orphanage homes in the State Capital in the past, Mr. Njoku thought it wise to make further steps in visiting one of the homes away from the outskirt of Owerri. It was such intention, that lead him, through the bad roads, down to Okwelle Motherless Babies Home, an orphanage home managed by the Daughters of Mary, Mother of Mercy.

Arriving the orphanage home at 12 Noon, Ifeanyicy Njoku and friends were warmly welcomed by the Reverend Sister in charge of the home, Rev. Sr. MaryNuella Igbokwe. She quickly identified Ifeanyi Njoku who had served the Late Rev. Fr. Panteleon Iregbu in the past as an altar boy. She started by tracing the history of the orphanage home, noting that the Okwelle Motherless Babies home is the oldest Motherless home in the whole of Nigeria, being the first project of the Late Bishop Gogo Nwedo of Umuahia in 1952.

The orphans, about 30 of them, sang happy birthday songs for the progressive son of Mbano who in turn presented gifts to them with smiles beaming on their face.

At 4:30pm, Ifeanyicy Njoku, accompanied by friends visited the Federal Medical Center, Owerri where he offered financial assistance to over ten women who had their children sick in the hospital and undergoing treatment.

His birthday party kicked off by 5:30pm. Music, dance, comedy, drinks, food, were all in abundance. Amongst those who graced the occasion are, popular Imo entertainer, Ugo Stevenson, Senior Special Assistant to Imo State Governor on Entertainment, Hon Chukwunonye Irouno, Film Producer Onwuasoanya FCC Jones, Rap music sensation F2, Ace Comedians PrinceWhite, Ichie Lafingas, Mc T-Boy, Mc Bannana Mouth, MC Idahosa, Rap Artist AcharaMan, Ikenna Okorocha, Bar Chukwudi, Dim Kevin, Kissinger Ikeokwu, Chidi Aguocha, Chidiebuebe Ekeoma and lots of press men.
