The former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha has cautioned those interested in contesting the forth coming governorship election in the state to shelve their sinister attacks on his person, as he would not want to be Governor of Imo State at all cost.
He made this statement while speaking at the maiden inauguration of the IHEDIOHA YOUTH MOVEMENT for Ahiazu Mbaise and Ezinihite Mbaise Local Government Area chapters.
The youth movement which is cut across the 27 LGA's of the state is intended to galvanize support for the Deputy Speaker as 2019 election approaches in the state.
Addressing the youths who thronged the Okpofe Ezinihite Mbaise Civic Hall, venue of the inauguration, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha charged the youths to remain firm and resolute in determining a better future for themselves, as no one can do that except them. He tasked the youths to prepare to make sacrifice ahead of the onerous task (election) as that would propel them to work tirelessly in pursuing the task and noble objectives which they believed in.
The Mbutu in Aboh Mbaise born politician who identified lack of vision and clear-cut administrative policies as bane of development in the state, maintained that the open and clandestine plots initiated by his political detractors to stop him would not succeed as he is ever determined to change the face of Imo for better.
While appreciating the youths and people of the state for believing in his sincerity to deliver, the three times member of the Nigeria House representing Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency between 2003 to 2015 also urged them to remain steadfast, as trials and tribulations would always form a stumbling block on the road to victory.
