The people of Agbor Alidinma in Ikah South LGA of Delta state were on Saturday 8th July thrown in to mourning and weeping session following the burial of their son, father, husband, Uncle, Inlaw, late Sgt Friday Idegwu who died at the young age of 42 while on active service at the Nigeria Police Force on the 3rd day of June 2017 after gun battle with some unknown gunmen in Owerri.
The Honorable Member Representing Nwangele State Constituency and the Deputy Speaker IMHA, Rt Hon Ugonna Ozurigbo led the staff and members of OZB Communications, and some staffs of Imo House of Assembly together with a delegation made up of men and officers of the Nigeria Police Force Imo State Command to the funeral event.
Hon Ozurigbo while consoling and sympathising with the family of Idegwu said the late gallant mopol was a jovial, disciplined and Brave Soldier always dedicated and committed to his duties with truth, loyalty, humility and honesty.
Hon. Ozurigbo said his little experience while working with the fallen soldier in the last couple of weeks at OZB communications before his sad and sudden death indicates that Late Sergt Friday was a good, God fearing, responsive and responsible family Man which made him donate freely his plots of land for the new church building of Assemblies of God church in Agbor Aladinma. Hon Ozb said he will encourage and support the ongoing new church building with some cash donations and also make sure the family of Friday Idegwu are properly taken care of especially the tender and under aged ones amongst them. Hon Ozb also prayed for the repose of the soul of Late Serg Friday Idegwu while charging the Deceased family to mourn like children of God and not like people without faith. The Late Serg Friday before his death was on a special duty at OZB communications Owerri.
