Thousands of members of Indigenous People of Biafra on Friday took over Imo State government house property, Freedom square during their rally in Owerri, the state capital.

The IPOB supporters who marched through the major streets in Owerri, singing pro Biafra songs and clutching Biafra insignias, the agitators demanded the succession from Nigeria.

According to the passionate supporters who spoke on the sideline said that the rally was to prepare the minds of the people towards the forthcoming referendum for a Sovereign State of Biafra.

The secessionists who first occupied the warehouse junction, Owerri, mounted canopies which caused heavy gridlocks within the area and later took over the government owned freedom square as they anxiously waited for the arrival of the IPOB leader.
