Former Real Madrid Striker,Alvaro Morata was mobbed by Chelsea supporters at Changi International Airport on Saturday as he arrived in Singapore ahead of linking up with his new team-mates.
The Spanish striker made the trip to Asia after sealing a £70.6million transfer from Real Madrid on Friday and was greeted by hundreds of fans and television cameras as he made his way through the terminal.
The 24-year-old became the most expensive player in Chelsea's history on Friday, agreeing a deal worth an initial £58m and potentially rising to over £70m if certain performance clauses are met.
He agreed a five-year deal worth £155,000 a week and could make his first appearance for the club in their friendly fixture against Bayern Munich or Inter Milan in Singapore next week.
Upon completing his transfer, Morata told the club's official website: 'I am so happy to be here. It's an incredible emotion to be part of this big club. I am looking to work hard, score as many goals as I can and to win as many trophies as possible.'
