Imo Sets to Host 36 State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria to Deliberate on the Quit Notice to Igbo by Northern Youths.

As the Chairman of the African Parliamentarians, the Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Acho Ihim will on November 20th, 2017 host members of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria as they push to have one voice on the quit notice given to the Igbo in the North by the Northern youths.
Speaking during an interactive session with selected bloggers, journalist and social media influencers in Owerri, the speaker of Imo State House, Rt. Hon. Acho Ihim, said the move is to ensure that Nigeria remains one nation where everyone will be free to live in any part of the country. He further stated that they have the support of the governor to host the event which will make Imo Assembly pacesetters in the nation.
The number three citizen of the state further refuted the fact that lack of fights in the Assembly means they are inactive, adding that history will remember them as the best having moved and passed 112 motions and 65 bills respectively in two years against the 54 bills and 95 motions that was passed by the last assembly in 4 years.
He then hailed the governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, saying that he will be missed when he lives office. Hon. Ihim further stated that the fact that they are not fighting with the governor always means they understand that Imolites will suffer when they fight and it will also hamper the good works the governor is doing in the state.
On the forthcoming Okigwe APC leaders and Stakeholders meeting scheduled for August 1, 2017 at the speakers country home, Umualumoke Okigwe, local government Area, Imo State.
The former Chairman of Okigwe LGA, Hon. Ihim said the meeting will help the leaders regroup, work with one mind and also thank the governor for the good works he is doing in the zone.
