Arsenal youngster Kelechi Nwakali during the weekend identified with Heartland Fc of Owerri.
The former golden eaglets skipper paid a courtesy visit to the president Hon Chibuzo Bashlyks Etuemena at the Ikemba Ojukwu centre alongside stalwarts of Asj academy Eziobodo.
In his speech Hon Etuemena expressed delight at the visit of the young gunner and charged other professional stars of Imo descent to emulate the humble gesture of Kelechi Nwakali by identifying with their roots.
In his words Etuemena promised to give honour to whom honour is due while promising that under his leadership the club will commence the culture of recognizing and acknowledging our stars
"Imo state have a lot of professional players all over the world and I think this is the right time to start recognising them under our leadership."
After a productive deliberation, Hon Etuemena honoured Nwakali by unveiling him as a VIP Fan of the club.
Reacting, Nwakali expressed gratitude to the Heartland supremo promising to be a worthy ambassador of the state and a strong supporter of the club
He extolled the gallant strides of the new leadership of the club and urged the team not to rest until promotion is attained.
