Due to lingering cries of marginalization by the Igbos and continuous agitations by the IPOB and MASSOB, over economic and environmental degradation, abandonment and neglect of South East States , the Nigeria Acting President, had initiated a meeting of Igbo leaders, Stakeholders, and Ohanaze Ndigbo, as well as Governors of South Eastern States, to dialogue and find ways for lasting peace

The governor of Imo, Owelle Rochas Okorocha selected and shortlisted the below Imo sons who represented t Ndi-Imo in the Abuja discourse. They are, Chief Okenze Sylvester Obinna, Prof Nnamdi Obiaraeri, Prof Fr.Jerome Okonkwo , Bishop Godson Ukanwa .

Meanwhile, IPOB has described those who reportedly had parley with Nigeria Acting President, Prof Yemi Osibanjo (SAN), as not representing Igbo interest and has no mandate to speak on behalf of Ndigbo, stating that, it's either Biafra or nothing.
