...Gets endorsement of Okigwe South APC Leaders and Stakeholders

The member representing Okigwe South Federal constituency in the House of representatives, Deacon Chike John Okafor today took everybody by surprise as he declared for second term in the green chambers of the National Assembly.

Prince Okafor whose declaration was followed by overwhelming endorsement and ovation from All Progressives Congress, APC, party faithfuls, Leaders and Stakeholders at an event organised by his wife, Deaconess Akudo Okafor to empowers over 200 women today at Obowo local government headquarters.

This endorsement is coming on the heels of the just concluded OKigwe South women prayer summit during which the wife of the ace banker turned lawmaker empowered over 200 indigent women and widows.

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress said Okafor's return to the Green Chambers in 2019, will help him better positioned to do more for the people of Ehime-mbano, Ihitte Uboma and Obowo LGA's.

You could recall, that on March this year, Ehime Mbano born youth leader and blogger, Mr. IfeanyiCy Njoku while reacting on Okafor's rumored governorship bid, told us that "the Obowo born Prince and former Zenith Bank Manager has not told him (Ifeanyi Nwa Njoku) his constituent (Ehime Mbano_Ihitte Uboma_Obowo Federal Constituency) of his intent to run for gubernatorial election in 2019.

Though he is qualified, has the charisma and deep pocket. Okorocha’s former commissioner for finance, Hon Deacon Chike Okafor born 1972 will be 47 years in 2019, thereby meeting Okorocha's criteria on age limit for 2019 guber which the Governor has pegged at not more than 50yrs.
But, the Obowo born Prince has decided to douse the 2019 gubernatorial tension and speculations by openly declaring before his family, constituents and party members his intention to return to the House of Representatives, were he is currently the chairman house Committee on Healthcare Services, even as a first timer.

Like Said, IfeanyiCy Njoku reached out to Hon Okafor to confirm truly if he has declared. The former Imo commissioner for finance didn't mince word when he stated categorically that "he was humbled by the clarion call, and assured the people that he will only be too glad to heed the call.

He quickly added that this June is yet the mid term for the mandate he holds, and though he has sponsored a number of bills and motions, attracted a good deal of Federal presence in the state, ran a first of its kind Free Medical outreach and assisted several sons and daughters of the Federal constituency to get employment in the Federal Civil Service, there is still need and opportunity to do more, between now and the end of the tenure.

APC Chieftains across the three LGA in Okigwe South Federal Constituency present at the occasion were Deacon Chike John Okafor was overwhelming endorsed for a second term  includes, retired commissioner of Police, Elder Francis Ihechere, Chief ZeekMartins Nnadozie, Chief Lawrence Osuagwu, House of Assembly members, Barr. Kennedy Ibeh, Hon. Uche Ejiogu,  former T.C Chairpersons, Hon. Percy Osy Ogueri, Hon Ukaegbu Fidelis, Hon. Prince Kelechi Iwueze, women leaders, traditional rulers and youths.
