Virtually eight years now, the PDP dissolved elected Council Chairmen, have refused to go to bed, until the APC elected government of Imo State reinstates them to office.
Probably dissatisfied with the ruling of Court of Appeal, Owerri Division over their contention, the former 27 local government council Chairmen went to the Supreme Court with fresh motion, which now joined the councilors as part of the struggle.
All the elected principal officers of the dissolved Council by Governor Rochas Okorocha which include, Vice Chairmen, and members of the council legislature were the addendum in the motion filed by the dissolved Council Chairmen.
The defendants in the case which include the state Governor, the state Attorney-General and the Imo State Independent Electoral Commission, ISIEC, were said to have been served awaiting the adjournment to May 28, 2017.
It will be recalled that the dissolved PDP elected Chairmen went to the High Court to challenge what they described as arbitral dissolution by the state government.
The dissolved chairmen have been dissatisfied with the Court ruling that the state government should pay them up their entitlements instead and based on that, they appealed at the Apex Court against the order.
