According to our source, no single fund has been released to that effect. Moreso, no preparation by ISIEC, even the political parties are not ready to participate in the fourth coming LGA election.
While the ISIEC body is complaining of fund to organize the council polls, the aspirants are nursing fear that Governor Okorocha may disappoint at least, adding that they are not prepared to waste their money again.
Some of the politicians who spoke to our reporter disclosed that they are not believing Governor Rochas Okorocha that he will actually conduct the council polls in September based on what has happened in the past.
According to them, Okorocha is not realistic on the election. Meanwhile the list of new transition Committee members is being compiled and will be made public soon.
Information further revealed that those intending to contest in the LGA election have been asked to resign their appointments for new appointees to take over.
Only those loyal to Governor Okorocha will be appointed to fill the vacancies. The APC Chieftains of various local government Areas have been asked to submit their list of appointees.
Meanwhile, the 27 dissolved PDP elected Council Chairmen had gone to the Supreme Court, to challenge what they described as arbitral dissolution by the state government and been dissatisfied with the ruling of Court of Appeal, that the state government should pay them up their entitlements instead and based on that, they appealed at the Apex Court against the order.
