Veteran actor and President of Nollywood Excellence Star Awards who hails from Ehime Mbano in Imo State, chief Remy Chukwuemeka Ohashianya Chukwumezie has said that not been regular on movie roles recently is as a result of the latest trend in the industry where too many are chasing few available roles with most of them not collecting a dime afterwards.
The ex Chairman, Actors Guild of Nigeria, Lagos state chapter and ex Chairman Conference of Chairmen AGN who made this statement last weekend at the burial of late Ezinne Martina Okwu in Ikeduru, pointed out that gone were the days when movie stories touches all facets of human existence as viewers are no longer eager to watch Nollywood movies, "recently to many upcoming actors and actresses seeking for fame centre their hopes on one popular act for their recognition in a movie".
The Deputy Governorship Aspirant under the Social Democratic Party SDP during the 2015 elections, stressed that Multichoice existence have dealt with movie marketers in Nigeria and hoped business men involved won't regret in the long run.
Meanwhile, Chief Dr Remy Chukwuemeka Ohashianya Chimezie revealed that he started acting for television in 1983 and delved into the career after the advent of living in Bondage. Chief Dr Remy Chukwuemeka had featured in Dirty Deal, Evil Passion, Rattle Snake and many other movies.
