The Former Governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi who is on the South East tour mobilizing Igbo Governors, Stakeholders and leaders on the release of the incarcerated Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB , Mazi Nnamdi Kanu today arrived Owerri the Imo State capital to speak to Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha and engage him towards mobilizing his colleagues Governors in APC to dialouge with the Federal government on the immediate release of Kanu.
One arrival this morning from Lagos enroute to a speaking engagement, which has become a byword for Mr. Peter Obi, he called on Gov. Rochas Okorocha .The meeting between the two leaders was strictly to discuss the release of Nnamdi Kanu and the good of the South East.
Obi thanked Gov. Rochas Okorocha for the efforts towards Kanu’s release and urged him to galvanize the support of the APC Governors as their Chairman towards the same goal. Obi said any more minute Kanu stayed in detention was an affront on our collective humanity as Ndigbo.
Obi and Rochas also discussed the way forward for the South-East, especially her economic development and integration agenda. Everything is not about politics, the chess for power.
Similarly, Obi has recently visited the Governors of Abia and Enugu State. He is likely visiting that of Ebonyi in no distant time.
