Popular Owerri Hotel owed by Mr. Ifeanyi Opara from Uzoagba in Ikeduru local government Area of Imo State which is less than one year of operation along the fastest developing World Bank area of the Imo State capital City which has within the period, pulled tourists within the South East due to the intimidating facilities therein, including an architectural masterpiece; Las Vegas Lounge & Club, was reportedly sealed off by Fidelity Bank due to alleged debt of over N400m.
Information reaching Ifeanyicy.com has it that, the Fidelity Bank with head office in Lagos, through the insurance company had an insurance business transactions with the owner of Titanic View Hotels Owerri. Fidelity Insurance had allegedly breached their obligation to Pretoria Hotels also in Owerri owed by Mr Ifeanyi Opara who doubles as the owner of Titanic View Hotels.
It all started when last year, one of the biggest hotel in Owerri, Pretoria City got burnt by fire, as an insured property, the management went to Fidelity Bank through their insurance company to fulfill their contractual agreement, by paying for the insured Pretoria City Hotels which got reportedly burnt.
The inability of the Bank through their insurance company to pay the management of Pretoria City Hotels, forced the owner to renege in serving of another loan deal with the bank in respect of his Titanic View Hotels Owerri.
The business transactions which has gone bad was the remote course of the new development whereby Fidelity Bank sought a court action and thereby proceed to the close of Titanic View Hotels pending the resolution of the financial obligations entered with the proprietary of the Hotels,our sources revealed.
