Chris Okey Ezike has been appointed to take over as the new Commissioner of Police, Imo state Police Command.

The former Commissioner of Police, Imo Command, (CP), Taiwo Frederick Lakanu will hand over the baton to CP Chris Ezike who was redeployed from the force Commandant at Police College, Ikeja.

According to information from police high command ,Ezike takes over from Lakanu, who has been elevated to the rank of AIG.

Before his new appointment, Chris Okey Ezike from Anambra State is a Nigerian law enforcement officer serving since 2015 as Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Police Command. Before his promotion to CP, Ezike was Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in-charge of Federal Special Anti-robbery Squad. He has headed the IG Anti-Crime Task Force in Edo and Kogi as well as the IG's Monitoring Unit of the Police Counter Terrorism Investigation Unit.

Meanwhile, the new Cp,  who arrived Owerri, Imo State capital today, Sunday 2nd April, 2017, Ifeanyicy.com gathered will report to Office on Monday while handover ceremony is expected to take place before next weekend.
