The Chief of Staff, Imo State government House, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu has once again condemned the issue of ghost workers syndrome, describing it as an act inimical to effective and convenient management of staff in the course of good governance.
Ugwumba Uche Nwosu made this known after the meeting presided by the governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha with the Transition Committee Chairmen and Chairpersons, Directors of Accounts in various State Ministries, Directors of Administrations in Local Governments, Accountant General of the State, Commissioners and other Stakeholders.
The meeting which took place at Nick's Banquet Hall, Imo State Government House had the governor addressing the issues of staff welfare and productivity at the local government levels.
The Chief of Staff appealed to all those that are into ghost workers racketeering to desist from that because the government has put up an infallible machinery to stamp it out permanently.
According to him, money lost through this means can be channeled to other sectors.
