A popular blogger and activist, Mr. Oghenedoro Pedro Ortega who is more popularly known by his pen name, Fejiro Oliver has been abducted by four men in plain clothes, claiming to be officers of the Nigerian Police Force, Delta State Command. The outspoken Thespian and journalist was said to have been trailed to his house in Uyo, the Akwa-Ibom State capital, where he was whisked away in the dead of night.
The immediate past governor of his home State,  Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan is accused of involvement in this, as the abduction may not be unconnected to recent protests led by Mr. Fejiro demanding for the investigation and prosecution of the former governor over alleged looting of Delta State funds in the eight years Uduaghan held sway as Chief Executive of the State.
Popular human rights activists and other concerned Nigerians have come out to condemn this action and a call has been made to the Nigerian Police to ensure the safety of the young pro-democracy and good governance activist.
