Imo State governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has being alleged to be starving the people of Imo State of fund, that is, lack of money circulation in the system and subjecting Imolites to untold hardship, without economic buffers to cushion the effects of poverty harassing citizens, notwithstanding the fact that the state outside receiving monthly revenue from the federation account in excess of N5 billion naira, an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), Federal allocation accruing to the 27 Local Government Areas of Imo State without elected LGA officials for the past 6 years now,  the 13% Oil Derivation meant for the  Oil Producing Communities  of Ohaji Egbema and Oguta LGAs. Okorocha also received the sum of  N26.7 billion naira handed over to him by his predecessor, Ex-Governor Ohakim. He equally is in custody of the whopping sum of N26.8 billion naira Federal Government Bailout Fund and another windfall, the Paris Club Debt Relief Refund of above N13.3 billion naira which he received lately.

These aside the fact that Imo State assets have been sold, privatised or concessioned to unknown persons for a period between 15 to 25 years. Some of those concessioned Imo properties includes; Adapalm,  Avutu Poultry,  Concorde Hotel, Nsu Ceramics Industry, Resin Paint Industry,  Imo Morden Market (Housing Shoprite), Imo Transport  Company-ITC, Imo General Hospitals, Imo Liason Office in Lagos and Abuja, Imo Shoe Industry, Imo Parliamentary Building (Heroes Apartment ), etc.

The money realised from the sales, concessions or privatisation of all these landmark properties of Imo State government is not made public while the ownership structures are top secret.

The most funny thing is that no one,  not even the State House of Assembly, Traditional Institutions, Head of Religious Organisations, Imo Elder Statesmen, Political Leaders  or even their Youth Leaders  ask questions. Who did this to Ndi-Imo?

Truly Imo is finished, starved and sold.
