The member representing the good people of Okigwe, Isiala Mbano & Onuimo Federal Constituency, Imo State, in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon (Engr.) Obinna Kingsley Onwubuariri, has assured his constituents that he will stop at nothing in delivering the dividends of democracy to them, come rain or shine.

Hon Onwubuariri, who gave the assurance on the well celebrated occasion of phase one (1) of his Constituency Empowerment & Skill Acquisition Programme, Saturday December 10, 2016, told his constituents that the best was yet come from him.
Although encomiums were rained on him for what many adjudged to be a mega empowerment scheme despite the shortfalls of the federal government of the day, characterized by economic recession and poor budget funding, the astute lawmaker insisted that his next batches of skill acquisition cum capacity building schemes, human capital development and empowerment programmes geared towards alleviating the living conditions of the less privileged; empowering youths, men and women, will be far more bumper.

He stated that the empowerment project was in line with keeping to his campaign promises and vowed to fulfil virtually all of them.

The vibrant legislator, who received his mandate under the platform of the now opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) also gave account of his legislative contributions in the current 8th national assembly, including bills and motions of national interest as well as oversight functions undertaken by him for the development of his constituency.
He disclosed that majority of the bills he either sponsored or co-sponsored have passed second reading on the floor of the hallowed green chamber, and were on the verge of becoming laws.

Hon. Onwubuariri, a first time lawmaker, also said that since his election, he has toured all uncompleted federal government projects in the constituency initiated by the previous federal government administrations, while he has been doing the best to ensure that they got adequate attention and completed as soon as possible.

Some of the projects he enlisted included a TV station in Okigwe, a Silo project in Okigwe, a power station project also in Okigwe, as well a Cassava/Maize processing industry in Okwelle.

Empowerment items given out to beneficiaries were Sewing Machines, Motorcycles, Grinding Machines, Generating Sets, Hair Dressing Facilities, Complete Barbering kits, among other commodities.

The youthful rep member pleaded with his constituents to keep supporting him to actualize his good intentions for the constituency; even as he vowed to continue to carry everyone along in his scheme of things, irrespective of their political alignments and allegiances.
